I would like to go one step up based off the 204/214 for the 4.1 I have in the shop. I can't find a listing:D How ironic:) Just wonder how much more lift I can tolerate here?

Red's,

Where did you say the cheap cam place was making the 204/214? They still have to beat my deals on the Edelbrock version:)

I liked the Schneider 208-224 that I ran in my 4.1 production block. I/ll look for the specs tomorrow, but I believe the lift was somewhere around .450 on intake and .490 on exhaust. A little lump at idle but will pull hard to 6000.

You had it and the 204/214 in the same motor didn't you? Which did you like better? Have you tried one of the 210/205 or 212/212 patterns?

Cam?

Comp Cams. (BRAND NEW) 230-236 costom ground hydraulic flat tappet. w/ matching high tension valve springs. cam card included for specs incluced. (for mid 11 cars and faster) $195 for both.

Intercooler did u buy this cam? If u did are u going to put it in your 4.1?

huh ???

the 204-214 is all you need in a 3.8 motor but i have already planned to go to the Schneider 208-224 if my 4.1 ever gets built

Intercooler, no I never had the cam Red likes-204-214. But yes, I tried 2 of the CLUB cams, 200-200 and the 210-205. The main reason I was so impressed with the 208-224 was when I installed it ( replacing the 210-205) I picked up 2 mph.

How about the 200/200? Where can I get the 208/224? Thanks!

IMO, forget about the 200-200
I got my 208-224 from your favorite vendor---ESP
They are made by Schneider Racing Cams--California
Lost my old cam card, so I don/t have their phone #
I did email it to Red a while back

Many more sources carrying that brand cam than good ole ESP. I just need the part # so I can order it. Truth be known I don't know what is the best way to go with the profiles. I had a 210/205 in one of my motors and it worked decent. I then tried a 218/218 which seemed to maybe work a little better. I figured I would try something with the 2--x/21x profile and see how it feels. All the searching for turbo cams and supercharger cams come up with a profile like 204/214 and the factory GM cam used the same profile so with all that research who am I to go against the grain.

Ive ran a 79.00 speed pro 204-214 for 3 yrs still looks great.I was told at the time it would never work.then after I went solid 10.80s I was told just think how it would run if you had a good cam.then after it went 10.50s they were like what cam you runnin.
Im in the process of making changes so we will see what happens

I still have my used Schneider 204-214 in the garage with lifters in the order they came out. Free+ shipping for whoever wants it. I wasn't impressed with it. I've noticed the hotair cars seem to like the bigger cams while the intercooled or hotairs+ intercooler work well with smaller cams. I wasn't impressed with the 204-214 at all. Something almost had to be wrong with it to lose that much in bottom end. I didn't degree it, only lined up the marks but I used the same timing set I used with the other 4 cams with no problems.

LOL.... i still got that email

here it is..

This is sound advise from previous failure on this cam as well as others
Set the closed spring pressure at 90 PSI. MAX
My first cam failed with 110. Sent it back and the next one they sent ask for 90
The lobes on it look new 3 years later.
YOU WILL LIKE THIS CAM. a slight lope at idle, Makes it power in the upper RPM. Pulls hard to 6000
