Regal wipers don't shut off?

Guys curious to why my 82 Regal's wipers don't/ won't shut off even when I put the switch on off. All the other functions seem to be ok.
I do have the T/S wiper stalk still in my GN, if I need it, if thats the case how do I go about swapping it?

Could be the stalk switch.

Could be the wiper motor park switch inside the unit.

I start by unplugging the stalk switch connector under the dash and see if they stop. Key on test of course.

Hands down i believe it will be the park switch-hence they wont park. GM dealer is about the only place that you will be able to get, but i hope you get someone with experiance because i'm sure they wont know where to get the number--I remember it was a PN that was a devil to find, But of course i cant remember the number-I'm pretty sure the WM in your regal is the most common one that GM used--Any RWD chevy will be the same

Common GM wiper problem: Wipers stay on with switch off.
Almost always a problem with the worn brushes in the motor.
Replace motor, get a good warranty.

I'll pull the Wiper Motor off my GN....it was put on about 2 years ago.
Should work fine.
