Somebody had posted pics of a 1st gen camaro a while back with a locomotive sized blower on it that we all thought was photoshopped... I tried to search but couldn't find the thread.

apparently, it was real, check this out... (its in the middle of the video)

YouTube - Giant Supercharger

Awesome. I got to see a turbocharger off a Locomotive during training for the Rail Road. We were in the Loco shop and they picked one out of an engine with a huge overhead hoist and set it on on the ground. It stood about 4 feet high. Wish I could have got a Pic.

I went to Locomotive school at EMD in Lagrange Illinois. They took us on a tour of this giant old, dirty, heavy industrial building. Then we happaened on to the area where they built turbos. Wow what a difference, squeaky clean and modern with all brand new monster turbos.Very impressive. when I first seen that Camaro I thought it looked very similar to the blowers we used on our SW 1200's

Yep, we have a couple of SW1500's with that same roots blower. The SW gets the Same V16 2 stroke EMD as the road locomotives only they get the turbos.
