I remember that thread. I thought I even posted in it. Be damned if I can find it now, though.

kirban 2 cents worth

I know the guy you mean...him and his wife came to our place and bought 2 of my GNXs....(one of mine and one I had for someone) I can't recall which.

Form what I recall he did work for the government supplying trailers or something with Katrina...or building...although he was out of Florida....

I never heard from him again......

But at the time I believe he had 6 or more GNXs....seemed to favor them.....

this was maybe 3 years ago as it was at our new house....

only insight I can offer....

Thats him Dennis, he did Concrete work and such, maybe even trailers after Katrina.

Thanks!

His name is Lee Chauncey (screen name vanman1120). I emailed him last year about his cars and he said I was more than welcome to check out his collection if I was in town. He lives approx. 1 hour west of Jacksonville, Fl. If I make a trip down to Jax in Dec, to visit family, I might take him up on his offer :D

That guy has more cars than he knows what to do with and he's only but 30 or so years young. Can only wonder how someone can afford all those cars AND a big enough facility to store them all unless he somehow inherited a lot of money. (yeah I know he said he actually worked for it but I still think there's more to it than he's saying)

My next duty station should be Kings Bay GA wich is about 10 minutes north of Jax. I am gonna swing by and check that out!!

Honestly, who cares whether he worked for it all or not?? He said there was some luck involved with him getting a contract with the Government and even if it was some other form of luck like a big inheritance I say good for him!!! I wish I was able to have a collection like his and he seems to be a really cool down to earth guy so there is no reason to drag him through some kind of inquisition into how he made his money.

BTW, I would love to see his collection.

Well said!

Think you missed it, wasn't trying to drag anyone thru an inquisition, just wondering how someone does it like that. Nothing wrong w/me looking for new ways to afford more cool cars. I'm happy for him quite honestly.
