Finally starting my basement renovations and getting ready to fasten the floor plates. Don't feel like going thru the hassle of trying to drive masonary nails by hand. Anyone ever use one of those Remington powder drivers? Have seen them at the Depot for around $100 and wonder if they are worth the cost.

Guy at work used one. Said it really drives the nails into concrete good. Dunno about the cost; I bet tool rental places carry them.

They work great.I have used them to drve pins into steel angle before.Just get the right loads and pins for what you want to do.

Picked up a Remington RS22 for $87 out the door with 100 shots and fasteners. Just shooting 2x4's into a concrete floor. Got the #4 strength shots with 2 1/2" nails.
