i have noticed in ALL of ibby's post that he spells come as cum. just thought it was because of the part of the country he is from.
same as "hello peoples" just thought it was something common from up that way

Call me a baby or what ever you want as this is all nonsense but if someone wants a for sale item the first to post should get it.... all the way thru and if it doesn't work out post again. I didn't want the heads but I see a poor way to buy things and I think a PM is not the way over first come first serve. You happy now.

i'm sure you've heard the phrase "money talks, bull(poo) walks" at some point in your life..
it means that the first person to put up the cash gets the goods. the internet is full of people that say they want to buy something and then flake out for whatever reason when the time comes to actually pay up.

I know the pm thing sucks for buying something . You never know who replied first.How do we know there friend didnt post and say they would take the item. I have lost plenty deals to pm's. As for the spelling thing I have seen alot worse on this site. Saying the admin and moderators dont give a crap about you is wrong. They just corrected some spelling.Lets face it we are not english teachers here:biggrin: Not like you got banned from the site. The big cheese cares about his members and so doe his crew. Just move on and keep posting and enjoy this great site

I was trying to help the TS and was willing to help Ibby too.
We want everyone to enjoy their experience here, even though I know that is impossible.
For the record Ibby/John has still not replied to my PM.

No, YOU don't get it jlat. "Private message" means PRIVATE MESSAGE. I just had a person buy $1775 worth of stuff from me today via pm with no mention in my thread. They may not want everyone to know what they are buying and/or why. I and most others have no reason to play favorites with strangers, unless they have wronged me or others in the past. First notification gets first dibs on my items. Some do "first money in paypal account gets item" and that is their choice.

By your logic, if someone puts an item up for sale, it is their OBLIGATION to sell to the first person who throws out an "I'm intersted" (via direct reply or the dreaded "PM")

Your thought process says they MUST sell that item to said "first offer" interested buyer.

No qualifying questions, no good faith discussion....

It's just "I'm first, so I win!"

I have often bought items with just a PM. Not everyone wants others to know or comment on what they have bought.
I kind of think this thread has run its course. John, just don't post in a parts ad unless you're a serious buyer and the issue will go away.
