Hi all,
Does anyone know the part number of the pump that will remove the trans fluid though the dipstick tube. I really do not feel like having a bath in trans fluid. I would like to remove as much as possible and then drop the pan.
I remember someone talking about one in the JC whitney catalog for like $20-$30.
Thanks in advance.

I think he meant that he just wanted to do this to get most of the fluid out and then drop the pan to do the filter afterwards :) But if you can't find the pump, just do it normally and take your time and it doesn't make a mess. I did my tranny last sumer and didn't make a mess at all - just have a large pan to catch the oil. This was the first time I had dropped a pan and was anticipating the "tranny shower" that everyone loves so much, but I didn't find it bad at all. Just be sure to add a drain plug for future ease ;)

Oops....Me bad. :D

Then for nothing you can poke small hole in and let drain then install a 6.95 drain plug so next time it will be that much simpler.
Can you take a joke? LOL
I sure hope so...
Me bad....BT

Thanks for the response buickboy. Where did you find it?
I bought a couple of small siphon pumps from WalMart and Lowes.
One was made for karoseen (sp?) and the other says gas and light oil...Hopefully one of them will work.
Later,
James
WE4...you are crazy...my luck I would spear the trans and require more work...lol
