Hello. I have seen threads before on people who had A pillar rust but nobody went in depth on how they repaired it. Mine is rather bad and was looking into purchasing A pillars from autobodyspecialt.com

Has anyone ever used this before? I'm looking to purchase this and cut my original a pillar out and weld this one in. Have you guys done anything differently? Can anybody give me any info on repairing a pillar rust? My GN is not a T-top! But my thought was the A pillars would be the same so it shouldn't matter.

My lower piece was cut from another car and "patched" in. The rusted piece was removed and the new piece welded in. The fender and door had to be removed. Even tho it was a hard top also the car had a collection of leaves and rain that accumulated over the years with out a car cover.

I did this repair, look at GM-EFI where the repair video was taken. If you are at Bowling Green I could explain it to you in person. THe car should be there as well, if there is no rain threats
