REPLACING DRIVER'S SIDE REMOTE MIRROR/JOYSTICK ASSEMBLY

My 87 GN driver side mirror does not operate with the joystick on the driver's door. Any advice on determining why this is and where I can find a replacement would be appreciated.

I know how to remove the upper and lower door panels, beyond that, what should I be looking for and what do I need to be careful about?

It might be that the cablesdetached from the joy stick. As I recall it’s just a little set screw inside the door panel that holds it in.
