Has any one used the following rust Preventive products???

Chassis Saver
Rust Bullet
Por 15

If so please provide me with some info as to what you thoughts are of the product and if it did work for you. If you have something better also let me know.

Here is a little info that may help. I am restoring a 1964 Porsche 356SC. The car is in good shape and has some surface rust in the floor pan and some rust that is a little worse in the engine bay, but not to the point that I would have to replace the part. This car has been garaged kept for the most of its life, and a few years near the ocean after being brought from Germany. This car has been treated with some sort of rust preventive by the original owner back in 1994 after he brought it from Germany. The second Owner of the car is a friend of mine that kept the car in a car port for two years.

I heard that por 15 is the sh#!. I have not used it but it is suposed to work wonders.

I used rust bullit after having frame blasted. Two weeks later the stuff was falling off:mad: .So back to the blaster and then por15 it was.

Many of the products say they only stick to already rusting metal. Hence why it fell off after having the frame cleaned.

I went with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator for my car.

Treat the rust with something that's going to dissolve it prior to coating. Other wise you'll just have covered up rust, if you don't it will be back. Product's that contain navel jelly work well but will require more than one treatment.
