Had this drum laying around and it was dished about .004-.005 in the center. Chucked it up in a mini-lathe and patiently laid on it with two different whetstones. After about 45 minutes it came out dead flat. Now when laying a straight edge across it a .001 feeler gauge will not go under.
I do need to verify minimum diameter though. Photos below.
