My last trans took a dump so I installed another I had laying around. I added a .500 tv and a .283 reverse valve. Now what I have noticed after taking a pressure test is that after driving around and getting up to operating temps I don't have any or very minimal boost in reverse and low 1-2 @ max TV, all other gears are fine just the ones I noted. Ex. cold psi R-min tv 150 max 275, low 1-2 180psi cold. After warm-up R-min tv 120 max 150, low 1-2 150psi. At WOT presuure is @ 200psi in all gears, all shifts are firm and crisp but I know the trans wont survive with no boost in low and reverse. Can I get a little help please ?

Heat is playing a part

So I would look at clearences in pump, valves, pressure reg, type of oil, Things of that nature. It is definitly when the temp is up, so a clearence somewhere is going array.

Does it mean anything if I still have engine braking in manual low 1 & 2 ? Also in measuring the reverse boost valve wich part is the actual valve the circular part or the cylindrical shaped part that goes through the small hole in the end of the housing?
