Just wanted to thank my newest sponsor Supertech Performance for hooking me up with a custom set of valves, springs, ret, seals etc... I'm very impressed as was my machinist with the quality of these components. I well be running there S/S intake, and there Inconel exhaust valves along with there Dual spring/Ret kit.

91 talon

i finally got my 91 talon put together with the parts i have been collecting for a bit

stock motor 156k

has a spearco FMIC, 16G turbo, stock injectors, megasquirt ecm, walbro 255 fuel pump. the exhaust is stock with a gutted cat and the pipe cut-off so it dumps out in front of the pass side rear wheel.

16 psi it made 270 HP and 276 tq @ the wheels on pump gas. i was scared to go any farther on it :)

Some pics of the car during the body work stage, the car has since been repainted and the color changed.

Nice...

Keep'em coming! :) As I type, Chris Black from AMS Performance is here in Puerto Rico tunning some cars. One of them being my buddy's sweet '99 Eclipse. The dyno is 5min from my work...feel like sneaking out to see  We're hoping to break the 500whp on 93 oct  Lets see...

Just recieved a call from my buddy, it made 450whp & 348tq @ 30psi. Chris said the intake manifold might be restricting it, so it was left there. Not bad at all IMO...4G63s just keep amazing me...

SWEET;)

I don't feel bad about my budget build 4g63 daily driver.stock motor 156k has a spearco FMIC, B16G turbo, stock injectors, megasquirt ecm, walbro 255 fuel pump. the exhaust is stock with a gutted cat and the pipe cut-off so it dumps out in front of the pass side rear wheel.

@ 16 psi it made 270 HP and 276 tq @ the wheels on pump gas. i was scared to go any farther on it.

On the stock bottom end with just cams up top & a stock ECU we made 331 whp @ 20psi with 93 oct. That was 2 years ago...:)

what size turbo and what type of tuning/fuel control did you have? DSMlink apexi ?

I'm sure i can get a few more hp out of mine but i don't really know what the limit is on pump gas VS psi so i stay around the 15-16 psi area.

The guy/Shop i use the dyno at passed away dec 4 so i'm no longer have acces to dyno thats local to do anymore real tuning as the car just kills the tires like hell.

Honestly speaking I have no idea what turbo he was using back then, but I do know it had an APEXi with 850cc injectors.

Well sorry for the lengthy delay in updates but I got my camera working! Here is a shot of the motor in the car and wired up, and fuel system installed. Just going to fab up a new intercooler pipe 3 1/2" and a new down pipe, and exhaust 4".

God I hate working on DSMs.

Helped a friend do a clutch in his Evo. FTMFL.

Well Jim at JM Fabrication is up to his old tricks and working on a new tubular Top Mount Manifold for my car. If it is anywhere near the quality of his Drag Intake Manifold it should be killer. Patiently waiting. :)

Have some new pics up this week!
