I have a theory about all this. Remember when rednecks used to drive around in primered Novas, Dusters, etc. with air shocks, glass packs, and no hood? Well, they had kids and their kids are the ricers.

Since we're on the topic...

I can't stand these imports with the entire inside removed and some high school kid will have one APC racing seat and a 5 point harness.

Then to top it all off with a blistering 17 sec run in the quarter.

Also those ricey lookin WRXs...they are slow and they are still rice. I don't care it's dumb. Havn't seen one break 13s yet!

It's all about the weight savings. They'll rethink the no hood policy when they find essential car parts missing off the car. "Hey, where is my brand new intercooler?"

Yep! I see them cruising all the time here in Springfield. No hood, and the shoe polish from the track two weeks old. haha, I wipe mine off b4 i leave the track. it's a cop magnet...i think...

Yeah, definitely an attention getter. I usually look just to see if the car's a quick one and maybe ask them how they did. Loud exhaust is the biggest attention getter of all though.

no, those kids are either so screwed up they cant' do anything but eat and shoot stuff. and the ones that can drive are driving their dads old novas and dusters....

probably somethign with them thinking they can get colder air.

i did see it done at the track a few times. the honda guys took their cold air intake tubes and fliped them up, so it was like a big snorkel... i got a good laugh out of that.

That is so true!!! There always will be guys that do stupid things to their cars.
