Richie,

I heard you went 5.206in the 1/8th @ the Rock last weekend.
For those who don't know about conversions that is about an 8.3 pass in the 1/4 Mile.
Have you changed up your combination from last year?
When is your next race?

For those that don't know Richie runs Limited Street.
They have to run 29X10.5 tires and weight over 3000lbs
with Richie's combination. Last year richie ran a single
turbo 88MM and may have done some testing with the
mid frame 91MM. Not sure what is going on this year!

I hope he'll be in BG. I'd love to see a pass like that on the little tires. Definately my favorite car to see go down the track. Bristol was always a show with him carrying the tires waaayyyy out there.

John, I thought Richie would be faster than 8.3 in the 1/4 running 5.20 in the 1/8th cause wasn't he running 5.50-5.60's in the 1/8th when he ran 8.30's @166-167mph

Steve,

The Turbo Cars are faster and quicker in the second half of the 1/4 Mile. The Nos Cars are quicker in the 1/8th and then fall off a little. Also Richie is running super small tires that are going to hold the ET down a little bit and any slipping will give him more MPH. He is also using a Innovative Boost Controller so that could be taking some power out.

Richie has done a 5.19 @ 140 in the 1/8.
He is knocking on the 7s door!

John, good points.... Those small tires are definitely hurting his ET!!! I would think if he's able to make that 91mm turbo work he could easily run some 5.0h's-4.90's in the 1/8th and high 7 second passes in the 1/4.... His biggest problem is most likely getting those front tires to come back down to earth

I just remembered he did run 5.08 @144mph on the 31X10.5W's w/ the 91mm turbo!!! He posted about it on t6p.com....

You are right about the times that I ran in bristol about 3 years ago. low 8.30's with 5.50 1/8 mile times. And they were at 167mph was my best that weekend. The bad thing was they would not let me run the car until I got my license. I only got to make about 3 or 4 full passes for 3 days at the track. I have not run the 1/4 since but just might try my luck this weekend during some more testing. Maybe just one pass. I mostly run 1/8 so not sure if the tune up is close enough for a lot of the long passes. Plus it feels like it is so slow after running the 1/8 so much it just fell funny to set back and ride. You have to drive in the 1/8 mile.
Big jonh that 20 you are talking about was still with the 88 turbo. I am not happy with the car at all right now so look for some better times than that 20 with the 29's on. You are right I went a 19 @140 with the 28 M/T. and think I could have gone a 15 or 16.

I can't see these video's whats up with that. I like to see stuff like that because I dont get to watch it go down the track.

i've heard about a quick GN comming to fayetteville every once and a while, and have heard richies name being tossed around, its nice to put a a car with the name, if you ever come down to fayetteville richie let me know, there are a few guys that i would love to see that car, where do you usually run, just at the rock?

we have races every were. Nom use to be good but last year the fired the guy that new how to get the track to hook so it does me no good to go down there. Will be at the rock racing this weekend and have a race at benson on june 26th
