Any of you guys see that mustang they built tonight. It's crazy that car and the other cars they had all the little bitty detail is just crazy. Blew my mind.

That was a sharp Mustang. I just wish they'd used a '69, just personal preference. That Vette was nuts! 1200hp and looked stock from the outside.

I'm really impressed with that show in general so far. Lots of detail and very well documented stories on the cars and designers so far. I hope they have material going to keep the show up, it's gotta take a long time to produce a single show.

Yeah that corvette and that 39 all wheel drive was insane, i would hate to try race that vet. I wish they would have shown more of what they did to the body and stuff too. That could easily have been a 2 hour show whithout any problem.

That guy with the Vette, John Meaney is really talented with EFI. He single handedly has done more for the aftermarket cos., then teams of engineers from what I've heard. Also holds a number of EFI and Ignition patents.

So far, I really like it. I saw the first one, where they covered Chip Foose and his build up of the '35 Chevy Master (The "Grand Master") http://www.wildrods.com/feature/GrandMaster.htm that won the Ridler award last year (tops in the Street Rod world). It was AWESOME!! Of course, for $800k it damn well better be! Of course, I'm partial to that car because the '35 Master is the same body as my '36 Standard. Not that it matters. They didn't leave a single panel untouched!!

Watched it tonight, too. Troy Trepanier builds the coolest cars on the planet. They didn't talk much about "Sniper" when they showed it. '54 Plymouth Savoy w/ Viper drivetrain.

"Chicayne" the '62 Biscayne has been in almost every mag this year. www.chicayne.com

Not to be too picky, mydesigner, but Quadradeuce is just that a "deuce" a.k.a. '32 Ford

Hope this show stays on for a long time!!

Great show, Troy's shop is less than a half hour from me. Too bad I can't afford to go down there. I do get to see his cars in the big Chicagoland car shows.

Rides show is great, started watching it last night but fell asleep about 15 minutes from the end of it!!!:( Wonder if they will repeat episodes? The Mustang Troy built is awesome, just wonder why they didn't start off with a better car since it seems like they had NO budget?

Troy inspired me to turn my 66 Chevelle into a pro street car back when I saw his PINK:eek: one back at the Street Machine Nationals in the 80's. Personally I liked his earlier cars better as they were able to be built by the average guy on his own. My favorites were his 66 Chevelle, the green 60 Chevy and the huge Buick (think it was a Roadmaster) that he built, all pro streeted. He along with Rod Saboury, Rick Dobbertin (he ended up going a little overboard with his projects) and Scott Sullivan were my idols at the time.

Rod Saboury is an a$$hole. He likes to take mint classic Corvettes and turn them into pro street atrocities. If you're going to chop something all to hell anyway, why not start with a project car? I dislike people who do things just because they can.

Maybe when your made King or something, you can have them executed for not doing what you like.

Yeah, Rod went a little over the edge there by cutting up a perfect 63 split window Vette, but it was his money so he can do what he wants with it.

You have to admit he did nice work on all of his vehicles.

Seems like Troy is the only one out of that group that is making a name for himself and making $$$.

That is true... but 'can do it' and 'should do it' are two different animals.

You have to admit he did nice work on all of his vehicles..

No argument there... his cars are sweet. Real sweet. But they would have been just as sweet if he had started out with a project car instead of a minty fresh one. It just kills me to see mint classic cars chopped up unnecessarily.

I met John Meaney this summer at Sears Point. He had the twin turbo vette there, that car is nuts! Looks totally stock but has 1200 hp! They even machined the wheels for bigger brakes. Carbon fiber hood, all the goodies.

We actually hung out for most of the weekend, great guy, totally knows his stuff.

His fingerprints are all over DFI, FAST and his new engine managment system Big Stuff 3. Really SMART, nice guy.

That corvette only ran an 11.11in the 1/4

@151mph:eek:   on its 2nd pass from 1/8 to end of 1/4 was 3.3 sec:eek:  they were not allowed to make anymore passes since the car didn't have a parachute

Yeah, I think they said that it and the Chicayne (1100hp) could go 75 to 135 in under 2 seconds. He scared the crap out of the magazine guy that was riding with him.

Rod took a stock prestine 63 Vette and chopped it. But he also at least doubled the value of it. Plus it was in all the magazines and car shows for people to enjoy. Everybody knows who he is. How many people in your area have 63 Vettes? Do you know their names? Probally not, but you know his. His current 63 Z06 Vette has a waiting list wanting to buy it. He must be doing something right. ;) To each their own, that is what makes him happy. So let it be. If I had the money I would do it to. If you go to a car show how many Camaros and Mustangs do you see. They are everywhere. But how many mid year Vettes do you see tubbed.
