To another fallen member of my favorite 90's metal Band Pantera.

So many times back then Drag racing in my GN at the track listening to them.

Very Sad

Agree
I remember watching head bangers ball on mtv and saw the cemetery gates video in 92
Was hooked

Never saw them live tho

I saw them three times live and all I can say is very intense. There's nothing these days that compare to them. Real talent .Sad

I saw Vinnie at a Y&T show at GMBG not to long ago he was up on the balcony next to us watching the show. He made a lot of shows in the Dallas area. Just the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. RIP Vinnie.

Yeah he was a real laid back likable guy. Very talented. A shame he couldn't make peace with his old band mates before he passed

Very Sad. The latest news is that he had a major heart attack. You never know when your time has come. Just know you are one day closer..

R.I.P. Vinnie Paul....

Too many hits on the bong?

I have a kind of funny story about that. My first concert ever was Pantera at the Aragon Brawl Room in Chicago. It was about 1995ish and it was the Far Beyond Driven tour. While at the show everyone and their mother was passing around joints, and since Dare was a failure I hit that shit ever opportunity I got. I was freaking blazed. At some point I was like I have to sit the fuck down for a minute. I made my way to the stairs and popped a squat where I wouldn't trip people. Well I look around and everywhere I look people are fucking brawling. Not moshing, but flat out beating the shit out of each other. Just insanity. I also saw a guy that looked like Sylvester Stallone wearing a blazer and all, but that has nothing to do with the story. So there I am taking it all in when out of no where white smoke starts pouring through the vents into the building. Holy shit, I thought to myself, they are gassing the freaking place because everyone is brawling! Turns out that they just opened the vents to outside and it was just the cold air rushing in. And that's all I have to say about that.

He was the brother of Dimebag Darrel. Sad news. Both musicians gone way too early. Sucks.

A public memorial has been announced for this Saturday June 30th at the Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum (near downtown Dallas)
No ticket needed, it starts about 5pm and you can line up to get in as early as you want. This place will be packed and I bet a lot of folks won't get in.
