Riviera motor mounts

What is the size of the bolts for the motor mounts that go through the carrier bearing?

Both of mine vibtrated out. The service manual only has the torque spec.

What year Riv?What size motor?I'm assuming 79-85? If it is try 7/16 X 14 - 1 1/8"

This was quite an adventure.

Metric seemed to fir right. It was harder than hell to get the motor mount and acrrier bearing brackt lined up.

The bolts tighened OK. My 84 riv is about 50/50 Metric and SAE, sometimes on the same part.

I'll check em' in a couple of days and let everyone know.

I finally did it. God help us Rivi owners. Maybe I should shoot it, and buy something new.


It was 7/16 x 24 x 1 and 1/8". Lining all that SH&^% up was as hard as any job I have ever done, and I have done a lot.

All done now, time for a beer.
