Quick question, if installing the plate without drilling a hole for EGR functionality, will it cause the ECM to throw an error code?

I don't have to worry about inspection testing in my state, is there any other reason I should worry about the EGR?

Thanks

i dont think so but dont quote me on that. try a search on powerplate and EGR. i seem to remember a similar thread not too long ago.

blocking off the EGR might cause part throttle knock. The ECM uses the EGR to add inert gases into the combustion chamber which allows the ECM to add a higher timing during EGR duty cycles. I really wouldn't worry about it, I had mine blocked off for a long time, no codes, no part throttle knock.
