i just read a post where a guy just installed a new turbo and he removed the plate are these things bad or what?

I just read that same post last night, think it was a te45a turbo,,wonder why he removed it,did he change plenum's

There are people who post on these boards who actually believe that the music on the radio affects their quarter mile time. They will change the color of the wiring in order to try to fix a knock problem. The PowerPlate is a good thing, but it does require at least half a brain in order to use it correctly. It helps to get even distribution to the cylinders, and has the POTENTIAL to help make more power. But it does require some tuning, and there are some that just don't understand that.

Less knock means i can run more boost and more timing..... the RJC plate does this for my cars and my stock head gaskets appreciate this...

The only battle i see is this power plate a restriction in the stream of power, well, i dont see it as a restriction when you add up the area of the RJC power plate holes and the area of a stock throttle body....

If the t-body is smaller in overall diameter than the RJC plate, how could the plate be a restriction?
