One watch out and something I encountered on my Harland Sharps.... Check the contact pattern of the tip the roller on the valve. If it's not pretty much dead nuts center, it will beat the guides out of the cylinder head. I ended up making spacers to correct this issue.Harland Sharps this time around but same applies for stock or aftermarket.
I believe mine had stock bolts used , thus barely any thread engagement . I noticed the motor started to run weaker and valve train noise . When I went to check , the bolts were loose . upon retorquing , the back driver side did the "tighten then loose" pulling the top couple of threads out . I chased the threads , ran the bolt in as far as it would go and got bolts the correct length .Longer bolt compared to stock is definitely required
