You could do what I did: order 1.65s and find out they sent you 1.55s AFTER the engine was already assembled by the engine shop!!!

Seriously, I don't think your going to notice anything either way (1.55 versus 1.65). I'm thinking there are a few engine builders on this site that could better define the actual changes made with the different ratios.

I remember being where you are though, and I wanted the "bigger" cam feel.....but was reassured by many that I wasn't missing out on anything by having 1.55 rockers. I wasn't ever given rough hp numbers though, so I'll be interested to see how this thread turns out for you and find out if I was given bad advice. Whatever you do, don't rush the build. ;)

...or you'll end up like me approx. 1 year later waiting for the summer to end so you can pull the heads for porting.

thanks mark :p i just finish to bilt my car ,i go on track saterday if everything is ok:D i will try the 1.65 ....all my set up is finish and ready to run i dont whant to wait the next summer .....here in canada the summer just stay here for 2 mount lollllll i let you news about my new roller rocker monday .....;) bob

Just thought i'd mention in case you didn't know.with GN1 and T+D rockers you have to notch the heads and valve covers for push rod clearence 1:65 require less to be removed. HTH.

The valve springs and how they are installed should be considered when selecting your rocker ratio. You need to determine how much valve lift your springs will allow before they begin to bind. ( the point where the spacing between the coils is reduced to zero) If the coils begin to bind at 0.5 inch of valve lift, then the product of the cam lift multiplied by rocker ratio can not exceed 0.5 inches.

HTH, John

Me Bad...Sorry when i saw T+D i thought of my experience but i'm using 14 bolt GN1 not the stock 8 bolt GN1 design ,2 different rocker arm styles.
