I did a little tuning the other day, just some 3rd gear pulls on the highway and my engine wouldn't rev past 5200 rpm at WOT, does anyone know why ? A few years ago I did some Dyno runs and my motor revved much higher, I even hit the rev limiter by accident . Thanks for your help, Kyle.

Possible flat cam, or valve springs are weak? Any other things happen on the run? Power logger file?

The run was clean, no knock, WBO2 11.3, 17lbs of boost, the car ran great throughout the 3rd gear pull, just wouldn't rev past 5200rpm. I guess I'll be changing out the vavle springs first to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the help, Kyle

Also the car idles slightly rough but has no off idle hesitation, it's very responsive. Basically the car runs and pulls great up to 5200rpm. It just won't rev any higher than 5200rpm during a 3rd gear pull which I thought was odd. Thanks for your help, Kyle

I would double check all the basics before diving into the springs. Fresh plugs, wires, waste gate, trans? Turbo? Etc.

Post a log file, maybe the is something there?

Did you by chance upgrade your chip ? Even tho it wont hit 5200 rpm how is the hp and torque level compared to a few years ago on the dyno and separately from the powerlogger/ scanmaster set up. What device are you using to indicate your rpm?

The chip has been updated for my combo, the 3rd gear pulls where done on the highway, I am currently not using my Power Logger due to laptop failure and I am using an aftermarket tach from Jegs that corresponds with the ScanMaster. Thanks for your reply, Kyle

Still running the 200r4? I had switched to a T350 with an adjustable vac. modulator.

Depending on the converter, the car may not be able to to push through the couple point in a third gear roll that easily.

did you reset your TV cable?

After I installed the TC last year I didn't reset the TV cable, are you supposed too ? I thought that you only need to adjust it if you R&R the trany. Thanks for the help, Kyle.

Yes it is the stock original 200r4 trany with just under 50,000 original miles. It has an Art Carr shift kit with a PTC 10" 3000 stall TC. Thanks for your reply, Kyle.

It's a PTC 10" LU that stalls at 3,000 @ 0-1lbs of boost. Thanks, Kyle.

im not 100% on how that converter operates, but if you try it in first (or maybe second) and it is able to rev, then thats whats going on. Also, the amount of power you apply will determine how long it "hangs" at that point.

Ok thanks, I'll give that a try.
