RPM's stay up after letting off gas

Kind of weird. I was drivin the other day and noticed a few things. First I might try disconnecting the TCC lock swith and LED showing if it is locked or not but if anyone has other ideas let me know.
What I noticed is when I'm driving down the road and let off the gas when coming to a stop, the RPM's stay up until I hit the brake. The TCC light goes off immediately when I let off the gas. Also it may be my imagination but it seems that I can hear a slight miss in the engine while trying to go a constanat speed.
This may need to go to the Tech section but I though I'd try here first.

Honestly.. it will do as you say. When you hit the brake it "releases " the lock up. If you do not put in clutch on a 4spd car it will do the same , right? This is the function of lock up. Until you hit brake motor is at engine speed via lock up.. Why the tcc light goes out is odd. I will give you that....
