When you replace the rear main/front seal on your GN/TR do you use rtv sealent on the pan gasket? I bought a Fel Pro "rubber " pan gasket and was thinking of using a small bead of anabolic sealent on the gasket between it and the block as added insurance against leakage......Also, when I removed the pan bolts the 6 bolts at the rear and the corners were very loose.....do you guys use thread lock on the pan bolts??

Hey Eddie, I'm going to work on the GN tonight!! LOL

RTV is not needed on a rubber pan gasket except where the side seals of the rear main cap and the front cover gasket meet the pan. I use a dab of rtv on each bolt on the pan. I would not use threadlok.

Believe those are supposed to be installed dry. I would only use RTV if using a cork gasket which I prefer over the Fel Pros.
