I've recently come into ownership of a 1972 442 W-30 code with the 455 CID... motor is a blown... and supercharged and doesn't run... the problem with this motor is to keep it alive it needs to be run very rich, but alcohol would save some streetability and give me the ability to run higher boost levels... SO the questions is would a nitrous plate flow enough alcohol? I figure I can plumb the line in, and have the amount of alcohol sprayed in metered by a tach... NO ALCOHOL below 2000RPM and then elevate up to 50% at 5000RPM... anyone heard of anybody running alcohol AND pump gas on a carb'd motor?

I know snow performance has been getting a carb'ed product to market...check them out at snow.net

Easy, just shoot alcohol through the carb and make the system referenced off of boost. A simple system with a 2 bar MAP can accomplish this. Then tune the jetting in the secondaries to compensate fr the alcohol shot in. Thats how its tuned.

Plates are designed for nitrous, and require solenoids to shut the liquid off as they are after carb and in vacuum. So it adds cost and complexity and when the butterflies are open on the carb.. doesnt matter.

If your not into boost at 3000 RPM's for example.. you use ZERO alcohol. Only used when in boost to supplement the octane of the fuel your using.

Friend of mine just bought a system off of Razor for a 360 mopar with a B and M blower. Razor is the man!

It's got roots blower. ran 6#'s of boost with the other owner... I'm aiming for at the very least 8#'s.
