You can't go real crazy with the trimming-you can trim off 1" at most to give the overall mounting depth of 4.75". We stock a slightly lower profile fan by Motorcraft that is about 5.25" stock depth and can be trimmed to 4.50. We started keeping them in stock for the F-body guys wanting to stuff ProCharged BBC's in using the FrontRunner March pulleys. The fan motor is the same but the blade pitch is different resulting in a 4300 cfm fan. I'll try to post a pic of one of our fan kits assembled.
It should be noted this radiator kit is for a 1967-69 F-body and is designed as a drop-in replacement for the stock one. We are working on designing a shroud to extend across the 31x19 radiators for the g-bodies but nothing looks nice yet and it's not really even needed with this fan-it's mostly for aesthetics. Let me know what you guys think.

What are the measurements on the one shown in this pic,CFM's, & price?

Are 100% sure you done have a small Headgasket problem? Just asking

Yeah I was thinking what underboost just asked. I had the same problem. It was the HG. What type of gasket are you running?

After I installed the f-body, dual fans from g-body parts and the fmic the car ran way hotter than stock. I tracked the problem to the HG. Once I replaced them my car in 110 degree heat never went over 185. When it is 80-90 degrees out I only see temps of 173 max.

thanks on the offers on the use of stock i/c ive replaced the h/g not to long ago with the stock ones nothing changed i would like some more info on the mark 8 fans

Fred where is the test pipe that goes with the downpipe I bought from you?

Tony,
You should either pm or email me instead of jumping on this thread & asking questions thats not related to this thread-but since you've already have,I never advertised a test or dump pipe that was included ,read the thread below those questions were asked & said they were not included

The fan pictured is the 5000 cfm 18" and it measures 22"x19"x5" as trimmed. The 22" measurement is the width. The radiator is 24"x19" fin area. A stock 1969 Camaro radiator is 22"x18.5" fin area so for a stock radiator, it fits the F-bodies like a glove with very little trimming on the side to clear the pass. tank. This is a aluminum replacement and the fin area is slightly wider. I have a pic of this too.

Are you using a 160 themostat? and if you are try changing your radiator coolant, i had the same problem until i change the coolant and went with a water wetter solution it keeps the engine running cooler.

I live in CA where it's very warm in the summer. I have the RJC front mount with G-Body fans and F-Body Rad with Royal Purple additive. My car stays around 185 with the A/C on, and 170 with out. Just letting you know. I wouldn't trust your stock HG's ;)

I would run a compression check on all cylinders before buying fans that you may well not need.

Did you try it at 5psi of boost? Ok then. ;)

no didnt try it under boost but it runs hot just around town if i try to do 75 80 it goes to 200 or hoter with no boost

Is your trans hooked up throuigh the rad?

Is the front of the radiator to the grille boxed in with teh factory rubber?

I am in Miss and have a FMIC and run the alum 87 regal 307 v8 radiator in my 87 with the oil cooler looped and I can run 80 - 90 mph on the highway in the 95% hum and 98 degrees and its high 170's on the temp.
Something is up for sure.

My h20 pump is a new lifetime warr from autozone, rmi 25 and distilled water and a little a/f, 160 t stat & the ramcharger/gbody parts fans.

gmachinz?

May have missed it but what are the cfm's on a stock fan? This Mark8 fan sounds nice it comes with it's own plug and play harness. Now if I want to control fan manually/remotely you have a plug and play 70amp relay, what does that set me back? Need to go out and take some measurements as the Mark8 maybe a tad fat as the has a SLIC. TIA

The HD 70-amp relay kit for the Mark VIII fan is $39.99. It features an internal tamping diode and it can handle the high inrush current on the Mark VIII fans. If you're asking what the cfm pull on the Mark VIII fans we offer which are 1997-98 fans, it is 4800-5000 cfm, and that is higher than any other fan and it does so at only 32 peak amps. Nobody else that I know of offers that kind of performance from an electric fan.
