I have an 85 t type its basicaly stock. Only upgrades are 87 coil/module, adjustable fuel reg,kn,poston headers, 2.5 dual exhaust,hot wired pump, 2.5 downpipe. Some times when i start the car cold it backfires through the intake and blows off the pcv hose and a couple others,also runs rough at idle hot or cold.It will sometimes smoke a little at the same time or if its hot and idling for awhile it starts to smoke.The car will also not rev over 4200 rpm in neutral or wot.Under wot at around 4200 it will also pop.

Check your fuel pressure and get a scan tool on it for starters. Also coil packs are known for going bad.

I have my fuel pressure set at 37 with the line off. I have access to a scan tool at my work. What should i look at on the scan tool? I checked the ohms on the coil, car cold they were all around 12.5 and hot they were around 14.5.
