rust on rear wheel wells

I just found some rust on the inside wheel well on both rears. The rust is at the lip above the axles,and is at the joint between the trunk and edge of lip.Is this easily repaired or would i have to take the body off? I didnt see this untill I removed the wheels. Is this comon. Has anybody repaired this? Thanks

Is this common....YES. I had rust in that area on all 3 Regals I have owned!! You wouldn't have to take the body off the frame to repair...but it might make it easier...mine was on a rotisserie so it was alot easier! You just have to have NO FEAR and start cutting out the bad stuff and save the old pieces to use as patterns to make new ones. It is BY NO MEANS EASY to do...but it is possible with the right equipment. HTH
