rust prevention for daily driver in the rust belt...

Just picked up a new to me truck from North Carolina and drove back here to syracuse so it can rust away... Anyone on here have any opinions on undercoatings and such? I know you won't stop the rust, but you may be able to slow the rust...

I thought i read of a product some people like to spray in the doors to keep them from rusting...just can't remember what it was. I think it silicone based or maybe just a basic silicone spray... I know some say anything from motor oil to a snake oil...

Most oil based antirust products are good because they go into every nook and cranny where water would normally go. If you ever come in the Montreal, there are several places you can go to have it done and it takes something like 20-30 minutes...
