getting ready to swap things over to other motor and noticed that there is no outlet coming from the top of the waterpump, it looks like just a casting nub? the outlet is there from the intake,,so now what? this isn't common is it. any suggestions..thanks again

Intake S hose goes to the timing cover behind the water pump, the water pump line goes to the pipe that runs to the heater core.

right, but there isn't a nipple for it to go on the timing cover..there's no provisions for the hose

right...but there isn't a nipple for the hose to slip over on the timing cover,,it's just a solid piece of alum. casting

Look like this?

I cut my nipple off (ouch!), tapped it for a 1/4" NPT plug and never looked back...

yes it does, so what did you do about the intake nipple? does it effect the cooling? so i assume its ok to run that way?
