Im putting a v8 in an s10 and wasnt sure what transmission to use. i have a long shaft turbo 350 and a turbo 400. whatdothink?

I'd put a TH200-4R in from the GN/TTYpe. They have a universal GM bellhousing for BOP and Chevy style bolt pattern. Plus they will handle more tq than a TH700R4.

Did I mention I have one for sale :D .

You'll prolly find more info on one of the S10 boards but Ive done this swap eons ago and can tell you this:

TH400 will require trans tunnel massaging (BFH!!).
TH350 will work with no problem other than poss shortening the drive shaft with a long shaft TH350.
TH700R4 is a bolt in as they come stock in S trucks but you'll have to deal with the TV cable.

if it was a stick shift truck the longshaft 350 tranny is bolt in driveshaft included

I like to put a spacer between the tranny mount and crossmember to level out the motor some as they tend to lean back too much
