anyone running 120lb injectors on the street in a turbo SBC ? any drivability issues ? I'm going to order a set but can't decide between the 95lb's or 120's .

I run 160's and haven't had any problems driving around.... except for the milage

Many thanks for info . Judging from the signatures of you two guys , you are REALLY heavy turbo SBC hitters . :D :) and must have a good idea on what your doing . I've seen malibuick231 build ....very nice . Where's the info on your car ghostv8 , if you don't mind me asking ? :)

What are your hp goals? 95# inj's should be good for almost 1500hp on gasoline. 120's should be good for another 400hp. It also depends on your ecu. A B2B unit is going to have a lot tougher time idling then a SEFI ecu.

850-900hp at the rears . another board member did a injector sizing calculation based on FWHP. went something like this :

FWHP x bsfc
8 x duty cycle = inj flow in #/hr

900 at the wheels is about 1080 FW
Duty cycle should not exceed 80%
Bsfc on a turbo engine is usually figured at .6. SO:
1080 x .6
8 x .8 =101.25#/hr

but if your saying I can get away with the 95's I would rather go that way . what I have been able to "gather" is that the idle characteristics of the 95's are overall better than the 120's . This is my first time on the TT SBC merry-go-round :D . so any info from a person like yourself with first hand real world knowledge will be VERY welcomed and followed . :)

I doubt you will see a BSFC of .6 on that engine. 95's will be plenty big enough for gasoline provided your fuel system is up to the task. Idle quality shouldn't be a problem provided the ecu is programmed correctly. Heck, we run 250ci Buicks on them all the time. If you want room to grow, you shouldn't have any problem with the 120's either. On the larger injectors, I prefer to buy a flow matched set.
