Scan master Power Supply

Can i use one of those 12v cigarette adapters from Radipo Shack)for the ground and power supply, so Im able to remove my SM if I choose too in the future. Does it matter which one 12v, 9v, or 6v.

That's the way I do it. That way I can move it between my GN's. I put a cig. lighter adapter for the power, and a 1/8" spade connector for the data line.

It's not really an adapter you need. Just get a cig lighter plug and wire the SM to it. and that way just plug it in.

BTW, I also bought a cig lighter "Y" plug (two sockets at the end of a short piece), so I can run SM and my laptop DS at the same time.

If you click on the photo link in my sig. You can then go to the Grand National album and look at the picture labeled "center gauges" and you can see this "doohicky" hanging from the cig lighter socket.
