Yeah - all the front-wheels-up shots were at a TRACK.

I bought it anyway just out of curiousity (the womenz had nothing to do with it ;). I live in the most densely populated state in the nation, with 3 NHRA sanctioned tracks within driving distance. Amassing those kinds of crowds, and bringing cars in on trailers for an illegal race is inconceivable to me. The cops around here would be on to it long before it got going.

Most of the track events that they were shooting at are called "Real Street Drags". It's an outlaw style event, where there is no timing equipment, no lights, they run off a flag or give spots, just like on the street.

And Turbojimmy, I think you'd be shocked to know just how much street racing actually goes down in your neck of the woods

You're probably right. I stick to the tracks so I wouldn't really know.

Close. The timing equipment is still on, but the clocks dont show any of the times. Timeslips are also torn in half.

When you set up a race, you decide if you want to go off a flag, the tree, pro tree, give somebody the hit, etc...

When you go off a flag or hit, then obviously the tree isn't activated and the win lights wont light up.

I had three races last month when I went. 2 LS1's and a 3rd gen camaro. Went 3-0 that night. :D

Good **** :) Hopefully I will get to experience it first hand, as I will be visiting the Windy City once my car is back together. Going to haul it up there and see how she does against some of the chitown boys... It's a stock rebuild ;) so I'll be needing a few and the move, of course ;) ;)
