Scanmaster different color.....Red color blind folks

I have a good freind that is older and he is red color blind and the red display is very hard for him to read. Is there any other diplays available? I saw this and was wondering if Bob ever went further.

Bob you mentioned having one SM with a different color display...did you sell it yet?

I have a green one, but the Green leds are not that bright.

Thanks Bob, just curious if you can make another color or is red it? You mentioned its dim, is that like really hard to see in your opinion in the daylight?

I will not be making other colors. The availability of other color LEDs that fit is essentially zero, and I would have to get faceplates made in the other colors as well.

The green one I made as a test looks to be like the stock radio when the headlights are on. It could be that that the faceplate material is too dark, I only ever made this one so I never experimented.
