scanmaster oil pressure

I'm going to buy a scanmaster for my TR and was wondering if any additional sensors are required to retrieve any of the diagnostic codes? For example oil pressure, fuel pressure, etc.?

No additional sensors required. BTW, the transmission is not monitored by the Turbo Regal ECM, so you won't see any diagnostic codes coming from it.

Make sure the chip you use doesn't have the "ScanMaster fast update" option ... that eliminates the trouble codes (in favor of more frequent updates).

Of course, If you like fast update. You can still 'blink' the codes out using the paper-clip method.

Or do a quick chip swap ... a lot of folks will run the fast update chip when things are tuned out and the car is running good and then switch to a chip with the full datastream if they need to see codes and do diagnosis.

Easy to do and ScanMaster supports both seamlessly (as does TurboLink).

Some guys might not realize that no matter what the injector/car setup is, you can still swap the stock chip back in and check codes. (just don't start it...)

Hey Ken, you going to BG?

Yep! I've arranged to sneak out for Friday and Saturday (arriving Thursday evening).

I'm staying at the Courtyard Marriot ... I owe you a beer (or three! :))

Email me a cell phone number or something and I'll make good on it!

No cell phone..... but I'm easy to find.

I'm staying at the Drury.

See ya there.
