Got my primer and my base coat down, wet sanded between all coats. After wet sanding the last base coat would you scuff?

U should not have to wet sand or sand your base unless u have trash in It u want to get out. Solid colors u can lightly sand to get whatever out. As long as u don't go through u can just clear over it.

I always prime then sand the primer. After u have it where u want I seal everything I am painting to fill in scratches or whatever to make it all even then lay down the base on top after the flash time or wet on wet. After u get your base on u can nib it for trash or sand if anything wrong then spot in the places that needs it.

I did not sand the last base coat. Put that coat on wet. It flashed and I applied clear. At this moment I am waiting for the second clear coat to flash. Pictures of the final clear coat forth coming.

Good deal just trying to save you a lot of work.

Thank you. Learning to paint is not for wimps. I stripped the fender down to metal twice. I got past the first batch of mistakes. Finally I am on to clear. When I put the third coat of clear on I saw some smoke in the clear. After it flashed it was gone. HUH.

Yes to much will get cloudy and also can solvent pop. I try to put just two coats first. Then after it dries sand and put 2 more if ya want it slick then sand and buff if ya want or needs.

If the clear is cloudy more than likely u will have to respray. Let it cure for about 12 to 24 hrs depending on its cure time and temp. If u are seeing the texture in it and that's what u are seeing u can sand and buff to slick it out or reclear. I cannot tell from the pic.

When clear gets cloudy in the Midwest it is from high humidity

I never paint if humidity is over 65% seen it cloud up to many times some times it will comeout as it drys sometimes I've had to let it dry and dust a little color over the cloudy area and reclear that can be a little tricky if the clear is not dry enough the urethane reducer can lift the clear I also have mixed a little color in the clear to cover the cloudy area all depends on your experience painting
