Sealing my covers???

Hey guys and gal,

I am looking for good sealing valve cover gaskets. Any o-ring style or metal core type. I see that fel pro offers the 1647 but it says its for the stage 2 motor. These are gn-1 heads and aluminum v/c's.

I have always used to Fel-Pro Neoprane Gaskets.


It is basicly a metal shim that has rubber "ribs" on it. I forget how much they were, and the part number (I apologize for not having that info)

The valve covers came in a slightly Transparent packege and it consisted of a silver metal with Blue colored "ribs" that make the tight seal.

They seal up well as an alternative to the rubber or cork gaskets some people use.



With the neoprane gaskets...Torque them to 9lbs and forget about them.

You dont happen to have the part #? Just put a set on last week(felpro Black colour gasketd) with the T&A valve covers and they started to leak yesterday.I even used high heat gasket maker.
