Security Alarm

Folks, a few weeks ago my factory security system began to malfunction. More specifically, the dask light stays on or blinks continually whenever the ignition is off. The doors can be unlocked/open and the windows down and the light is on/blinks. It continues to work properly when armed (doors locked and windows up).

I removed the negative terminal from the battery for 15 minutes, but that did not help.

Any help out there? I don't drive the car daily and last week the battery was almost run down after 5 days of parked.

You need to try to turn the door lock with your key and see if that fixes the problem.
