Selling my laptop; what should I do to clean it up

as far as banking and personal information what should I do to "clean" it up?

It is already spoken for locally but I still want to get my personal info off before I let them take it.

should have the discs to reformat it back to when it was bought new. they are called restore discs wipes it clean
