Cool little article...what's the bad info ????

Qoute:It was available as a 4.1L 4bbl and was also available with a 3.8 litre carbed turbo version. There were a total of 215 off the assembly line, but only 16 with the turbocharged option, making this version one of the most sought after of the Regal Grand Nationals.

Rich George-b4black has documented at least 32 SC/GN's(SC is short for Sport Coupe which was the name of the turbocharged Regal in 1982)

Qoute:In 1984, the Buick Grand National would change the perception of the 80's performance automobile and was equipped with a sequentially fuel injected turbocharged 3.8 litre V-6 rated at almost 200 hp. The T-Type, now also fuel injected, shared most of the GN's equipment with the exception of the Lear Sieglar interior and the different "Turbine " looking wheels. In 1984 Buick pumped out approximately 2100 Grand Nationals and 3400 T-Types.

You could get the Lier-Seigler seats in a T-Type. Official production numbers. GN 2,000, T-Type 3,401.

Qoute:There were few changes in 1985. Buick made modifications to the grille, the air dam, and improved the oil pan. Approximately, 2100 were made that year

The 1985 GN uses the same grille as the 84 and 86 GN. The grille WAS different for the 85-86 T-Type. The 85 uses the same air dam as the 84. 2,102 GNs and another 2,100 T-Types.

Qoute:In 1987 Buick marked the end of the T-Type name on the regal in favor of a new model name - the Turbo-T. The Turbo-T and the Grand National power plants were pushed to 245 hp and 355 ft lb of torque. This 1987 model would be the last production run of the Buick G-Body (Chevrolet continued through 1988). In 1987 it was dubbed "The Worlds Fastest Production Car" and almost 20,000 GN's and 2700 Turbo-Ts were produced.

Even though the GN was made until December 1987 it was built along side the MC and Cutlass which were designated 1988 models. All production stop in 1987. Production numbers. GN-20,193 T-T/WE4 1,547 Limited 1,035 turbo Regal 4,268

For as long as this cars have been out, who ever wrote this should have done a better job at fact checking. Some of it just worded wrong but there is no excuse for bad information.
