Does anyone know if the sensor behind the intake on the bellhousing is a knock sensor and if its the only knock sensor on an 84 t type? And what the part number is?

The knock sensor...

is threaded into the back of the block, just ahead of the bell-hosing. It needs to be torgued to 14#s w/o any sealer, to work properly. I believe caspers electronics sells replacements.

Will the knock sensor for an 87 t type or grand national fit in my 84 t type?

99% sure yes. I never had to change mine during the conversion.
