Yup for a few at least. Was thinking of leaving it in NY but couldn't. There is a nice track up in Anchorage that's open May-Sept. I know it's short but think of all the time to work on the car. This winter it's getting heads, intake and cam.

Cold Weather

Hey 87gn newbee,
I have a friend who lives up there, he used to live over here in Savannah. His name is Cool87GN aka Turbo Ted. Really cool dude to know. He has a Limited he's working on. He also said the track there is really nice to. Maybe you all can hook up, talk Buicks.
Tom:)

I dont want to to sound like an idiot or anything but how long is the summer in Alaska? whats the highest the temps go up to??

Thanks
Ralph

Alaska is a beautiful place!!

I'm from the mountain states, and was stationed in SE Alaska in the US Air Force. We lived near Anchorage.

The coldest it got in my four years was something like 10 or 15 below zero, and the warmest it got was in the 70's. A typical summer day was 50-60 with drizzel. Much easier winter than in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming and the midwest states. It snows, but it melts too. Big thing is the darkness over the winter months. Doesn't get "dark" in the middle of the summer at all.

Central Alaska is a whole other story. It gets real cold in winter and real hot in summer. Day and night (meaning the lenght of day and night) are a lot different up there.

Was looking at the slides last night. Some great fishing :)

Ya I have talked with Ted through e-mail and I plan on meeting up with him. I'll be in Anchorage been there a few times wife used to live up there 9 years she can't wait to get back. I'll have lot's to do to the car this winter.
