Serpentine Belt ? Help

Anyone ever have a serpentine belt on their engines fray on 1 side?

I just replaced the Surp on my olds 3800.
1 week later the new belt is frayed on the outer edge.

The tension device is working fine.

Could this be a bad pulley someplace? I have watched the belt run & it tracks OK.

maybe a busted motor mount is causing the engine to flex a bit and its hitting something?

Ahh thanks good idea. I will rev the engine & see if it moves.

Sounds like a bad,loose or misaligned pulley
