Settin the cam sensor

I did a search at gnttype.org. Found nothing. I had the sensor marked for tdc. The marks got rubbed off and now and where the hold down bolt mark was isnt anymore becuase I painted it. I dont know where to set it. I can't remember how to check it electrically. Can anyone point me in the right direction. If I'm not mistake I thought that your suppose to have 0 volts at tdc.
