When I bought my crank sensor from Autozone it came with instructions. Basically what I did was just remove the old one carefully using a universal socket to get to the top bolt and installed the new one in the same spot. You do have to play with the adjustment of the plastic part to assure that it does not rub on the rotating part of the engine (the trigger) then tighten the small screw to lock the plastic part in place so it can't move.

I also put a long ratchet on my alternator bolt to turn the engine slightly in order to get the gap part of the rotating trigger in the right spot so I could remove the sensor.

i got the sensor from autozone as well, heres how i set it:
1. install the sensor with the set screw failr loose
2. rotate the engine until one of the three interrupter rings is in between the plastic part of the sensor.
3. rip off two small pieces of the box the sensor came in and put the betwen the sensor and the interrupter ring (on both sides)
4. tighten the set screw.

after this i rotated the engine a few times to make sure it wasnt touching, it should e fine if you followed this procedure.

there is a cheap setting tool you cna buy at NAPA, but the box works just the same, as does the end of a match book.
good luck!

Thanks guys. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with my sensor but, the harmonic balancer bolt was hand tight and caused lots of problems. So I tightend it and every thing seems gravy! :D
