While setting the TPS, do you set the throttle body butterfly backed off completely, in other words, back off the idle screw all the way so throttle valve is closed? Then set the TPS? Would you then re-adjust your idle screw to idle at your preferred setting?

Thats not a Idle screw eventhough Idle will move up and down when messed with.
It's a min air adjustment to open the Throttle blade, the idle is controlled bye the ECM using the IAC.
www.GNttype.org has great info

that is for the iac you need to set that fully warmed at 20 to 25 in park the set your tps the easiest way i found to get .44 to 3.8 is to loosen the top bolt and leave the bottom fairly snug then tap down on the sensor to lower idle setting or tap up to raise idle setting. then tighten top bolt and loosen bottom bolt open throttle all the way for wide open setting. tap up on the sensor to raise tap down to lower. this way you dont disturb the other settings if you loosen both bolts and try to adjust it always throws the other setting off it gets frustrating. i found this out by accident. hopw this helps/ also never adjust tps before iac because iac will change tps settings
