I have heard of these before I purchased my GN,I never hear of them now.Do they work ? Was it a fad ? You guys never seem to speak of them at all now, any pictures ?? 87 GN stock 35k mint

Few guys still use them. Back in the day, chips sucked, and big injectors weren't very street friendly. So the seventh injector helped. Now we have great chip guys like Bailey and Steve, and can run big injectors all the time, like I do. I don't like 7th inj. systems because you are trying to flow fuel through a manifold designed for air, and it doesn't flow well. For the price of the kit, you could get some good injectors and a chip. HTH

Yes they do work.
They were developed when the selection of injectors were very limited. They were expensive $250-$300 range as best I remember.
With the selection avaviable now they aren't as desirable.
The three main ones were from ATR, Red Armstrong & Jay Carter.

i heard some people talk of these once and my neighbor has it on his car. i think the reason they used to be popular is b/c back when a variety of injectors were not available for our cars unlike today you needed a way to get a lot of fuel into the engine and if the biggest injector they made was a 36# and you needed more fuel then you put one more injector on the TB to put in more fuel when it was needed so you wouldnt lean it out. now with big injectors and alky systems available the 7th injector really isnt needed. i think it had problems w/even distribution also but a powerplate would proably cure this now. its kind of ironic when you think about it:)

They are a crude way of adding fuel to the mix.
Crude being a relative term.

Like previously mentioned, the newer chips are really much more large injector friendly then they were even just a few years ago.
