today i attempted to tinker on the old man buick today (each day I give the car a new nickname) I cleaned and degreased the airbox assembely and took out the air filter that was full of oil smoke residue. I also cleaned out the carb elbow as well, however i am trying to get the butterfly valve to work.

pic and vid

I also wanted to know about o2 sensors. Mine is old and needs to be replaced, but there is a flimsy wire leading from the o2 sensor into this plug
should it be replaced as well.

Lastly how does richs filter setup mount or does it just hang?

Oh c'mon one more pic of that O2 sensor PLEASE, lol
Leave the connector it's fine, replace the sensor and the pig tail that's with it leading up to the connector. It's a non heated O2 sensor.

if your worried buy a new one it doesn't cost that much, but don't you have a ebrock carb?

careful what you ask for... you may just get it.:biggrin: okay

whoa whoa whoa! You don't even have the system operating:rolleyes: Don't worry about that stupid butt flapper seperator in the air box either. Just unhook the vac line and plug it. DONE! I just saved you a lot of time and some money. THrow a puralator air filter in and call it a day.
